Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to
worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting
immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.
TCR Screening Services
Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding.
Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".
Human, Bovine (tested or 100% immunogen sequence identity)
Monkey, Bat, Dog, Horse (at least 90% immunogen sequence identity)
Specificity and Use
HSPB1 / HSP27 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide: LLRGPSWDPFRC, corresponding to amino acids 10-21 of Human Hsp27. This peptide is 81% conserved in mice, rats, and hamsters. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Monkey, Bovine (100%); Marmoset, Stickleback, Porcine, Bat, Dog, Horse (91%); Mouse, Rat, Trout, Xenopus, Catfish (82%).
Species cross-reactivity: Cross-reacts with Human and Rat. Expected to cross-react with canine (90% identity with immunogen) due to sequence homology.
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.

Heat shock protein 27 (Hsp27) also known as heat shock protein beta-1 (HSPB1) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the HSPB1 gene. Hsp27 is a chaperone of the sHsp (small heat shock protein) group among ubiquitin, a-crystallin, Hsp20 and others. The common functions of sHsps are chaperone activity, thermotolerance, inhibition of apoptosis, regulation of cell development, and cell differentiation. They also take part in signal transduction.
