Description
HSPA9 (Mortalin, GRP75) is a heat shock protein involved in cell proliferation, stress response and mitochondria maintenance. HSPA9 is of interest in neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease; it may have protective chaperone functions in the brain that help degrade and maintain lowered levels of aggregated or improperly folded proteins. In immunohistochemistry, HSPA9 has granular cytoplasmic positivity in all tissues.

Usage
Immunohistochemistry: LS-B645 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B645 was determined to be 2.5 ug/ml.
