A 13 AA peptide sequence within the N-Terminus of rat HO-1 (1) was synthesized, coupled to KLH.

Specificity
The rat sequence is 92% conserved in human and mouse HO-1. Has no significant homology with HO-2. Control peptide, because of the small size (2-3kD), is not recommended for Western. It should be used in ELISA or antibody blocking (use 5-10 ug control peptide per 1 ug of IgG or 1 ul of antiserum) experiments to demonstrate antibody specificity.

- ELISA (1:100000)
Usage
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot. Western Blot: 1:1000-1:5000 for antiserum and 1-10 ug/ml for aff. pure IgG using ECL. HO-1 ~31-33kD. ELISA: ~1:100000 using 50-100 ng control peptide/well.
