Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

Histone H2A antibody was raised against kLH-conjugated, synthetic peptide containing (. GRG[AcK]QGG[AcK]ARA[AcK]A[AcK]TRS.), in which AcK corresponds to acetyl-lysine residues 5, 9, 13 and 15 of human Histone H2A.
Acetyl-Lys5/Lys9/Lys13/Lys15
Recognizes acetylated Histone H2A, Mr ~14kD. Species cross-reactivity: Human. Predicted to cross-react with mouse and rat based on sequence conservation.
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Western Blot Analysis: 1:500-1:10000 dilution of this lot detected acetylated Histone H2A in acid extracted proteins from sodium butyrate treated HeLa cells. Unacetylated recombinant Histone H2A was not detected.

Packaging

0.05% sodium azide, 30% glycerol.
Long term: -20°C; Short term: +4°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.
For research use only.

About Histone H2A

Histone H2A is composed of non-allelic variants. The term "Histone H2A" is intentionally non-specific and refers to a variety of closely related proteins that vary often by only a few amino acids. Notable variants include H2A.1, H2A.2, H2A.X, and H2A.Z. Changes in variant composition occur in differentiating cells. This was observed in differentiating neurons during synthesis and turnover; changes in variant composition were seen among the H2A.1 histone.
