Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to
worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting
immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.
TCR Screening Services
Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding.
Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".
Rabbit Polyclonal to Human Herpesvirus 8 HHV-8 ORF57
Human Herpesvirus 8
Western blot, ELISA
Human Herpesvirus 8 HHV-8 ORF57
Human Herpesvirus 8 (tested or 100% immunogen sequence identity)
Western blot (1:5000 - 1:8000)
ELISA (1:100000 - 1:170000)
Specificity and Use
HHV-8 ORF57 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide corresponding to a region near the C-terminal of human KSHV ORF57 protein.
human herpesvirus 8 (KSHV ORF57) protein. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with ORF57 protein from human herpesvirus 8 types P and M sources based on 94% homology with the immunizing sequence. Reactivity against homologs from other sources is unknown
This affinity purified antibody has been tested for use in ELISA and western blotting. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a band 50-55 kD in size corresponding to KSHV ORF57 protein by western blotting in the appropriate cell lysate or extract.
0.02 M potassium phosphate, 0.15 M sodium chloride, pH 7.2, 0.01% sodium azide.
+4°C or -20°C, Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Anti-KSHV ORF57 Antibody - Western Blot. Western blot of affinity purified anti-KSHV ORF57 to detect KSHV ORF57 in HEK293 cells transfected with ORF57 expression vector and ORF57 truncations, or in KSHV infected B-cell line (BCBL-1) treated with or without valproic acid to induce viral replication (arrow). The membrane was probed with the primary antibody diluted 1:7500 (left) and 1:1000 (right). Personal Communication, V. Majerciak, M. Zheng, CCR-NCI, Bethesda, MD.
