Specificity and Use
Synthetic peptides derived from HCV capsid protein.
Recognizes recombinant CPC* +EPM** (core) (1st-142th amino acid), synthetic CPC* (1st- 61th amino acid) and recombinant chimeric HCV polyprotein (60kD). * Capsid Protein C ** Envelope protein M. No cross-reaction with recombinant NS-3 protein (1252th -1477th amino acid), synthetic NS-3 protein (1378th -1458th amino acid) and synthetic NS-4a protein (1689th -1735th amino acid). It recognizes different antigenic determinants of HCV capsid protein.
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. ELISA: Reacts with human Hepatitis C Virus core protein, and no reaction with HCV non-structure protein. Western Blot: 0.1-0.5 ug/ml will allow visualization of 0.1 ug/lane of recombinant CPC+EPM (core), 0.5 ug/lane synthetic CPC and 0.1 ug/lane recombinant chimeric HCV polyprotein. Under both reducing and non-reducing conditions.
