Synthetic peptides consisting of 7aa sequence from the N-Terminus of mature human and mouse 25aa HEPC were synthesized (KLH coupled). The two peptides were injected as a mixture.

Specificity
Recognizes Hepcidin 25. The mouse sequences from mouse/rat and human differ by just 1aa in 25aa mature HEPC. The sequence is truncated by 5aa in the 20aa major secreted HEPC. No significant cross-reactivity with 20aa HEPC peptide. May cross-reacts with the unprocessed larger 60aa pro-HEPC if present in the samples or tissues.

Usage
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Western Blot: 1:1000-1:5000 (ECL). ELISA: 1:100000 using 50-100 ng control peptide/well.
