Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Product Description

GRB2 antibody LS-C7289 is an unconjugated mouse monoclonal antibody to GRB2 from human, mouse, rat and other species. Validated for IF, IHC and WB.
About GRB2
Adapter protein that provides a critical link between cell surface growth factor receptors and the Ras signaling pathway.Isoform 2 does not bind to phosphorylated epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) but inhibits EGF-induced transactivation of a RAS-responsive element. Isoform 2 acts as a dominant negative protein over GRB2 and by suppressing proliferative signals, may trigger active programmed cell death. P62993 NM_002086 NP_002077.1

Immunogen
GRB2 antibody was raised against purified recombinant human Grb2 protein.
Epitope
aa54-62
Specificity
Recognizes a protein with Mr24-25kD, identified as Grb2 (growth-factor receptor-bound protein 2), also known as ASH (abundant Src homology). Grb2 deletion studies indicate that the epitope for this antibody maps to amino acid residues 54-62. No cross-reactivity with other SH2/SH3 signaling intermediates. Species Reactivity: Human, bovine, mouse, rat and Xenopus.
Usage
Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry. Immunofluorescence: 1.0 ug/ml with an incubation of 2 hours at RT. Immunohistochemistry: 1-2 ug/ml with an incubation of 30 minutes at RT. (on acetone-fixed frozen and formalin-fixed/paraffin-embedded tissue sections. Staining of formalin/paraffin tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 minutes followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes.). Positive control: BALB 3T3 or NIH 3T3 cells, kidney or tonsil.
Presentation
PBS, pH 7.4, 0.2% BSA, 15 mM sodium azide.
Storage
Short term: 4°C; Long term: Add glycerol (40-50%) -20°C.
