Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Applications

  • Western blot (1:500 - 1:3000)
  • Immunoprecipitation (1 µg/ml)
  • ELISA (1:4000 - 1:20000)

Specificity and Use

GRASP antibody was raised against synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids near the amino terminus of mouse Tamalin protein.
N-Terminus
mouse Tamalin protein. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with Tamalin protein from rat based on a 94% homology with the immunizing sequence. Reactivity against homologs from other sources is not known
This affinity purified antibody has been tested for use in ELISA, western blotting, and immunoprecipitation. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a band approximately 42 kD in size corresponding to Tamalin protein by western blotting in the appropriate cell lysate or extract.

Packaging

0.02 M potassium phosphate, 0.15 M sodium chloride, pH 7.2, 0.01% sodium azide.
Long term: -20°C; Short term: -20°C

About GRASP

GRASP Antibody, TAMALIN Antibody

Plays a role in intracellular trafficking and contributes to the macromolecular organization of group 1 metabotropic glutamate receptors (mGluRs) at synapses.

Western blot

Western blot
Anti-Tamalin Antibody - Immunoprecipitation/Western Blot. Mouse brain lysate was immunoprecipitated with anti-Tamalin antiserum. A blot was prepared and probed with affinity purified anti-Tamalin. Lane 1 is wild-type brain lysate; Lane 2 is Tamalin knock-out brain lysate. The membrane was probed with the primary antibody at a 1:1000 dilution. Personal Communication, V. Coppola, CCR-NCI, Frederick, MD.

Western blot

Western blot
Anti-Tamalin Antibody - Western Blot. Western blot of affinity purified anti-Tamalin to detect over-expressed Tamalin in HEK293 cells (lane 2, arrowhead). Lane 1 shows the non-transfected control. Cell extracts were electrophoresed and transferred to nitrocellulose. The membrane was probed with the primary antibody at a 1:2000 dilution. Personal Communication, V. Coppola, CCR-NCI, Frederick, MD.
