  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

GFP antibody was raised against his-tagged green fluorescent protein of Aequorea victoria.
Recognizes green fluorescent protein (GFP), Mr 30kD and GFP-fusion proteins.
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry. Proteins were visualized using a rabbit anti-chicken secondary antibody conjugated to HRP* and a chemiluminescence detection system. Immunocytochemistry: Reported to show positive immunostaining in cells transfected with an expression vector encoding GFP.

100 mM Tris-glycine, pH 7.4, 150 mM sodium chloride, 0.05% sodium azide, 30% glycerol.
Long term: -20°C; Short term: +4°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.
For research use only.

About GFP

GFP Antibody

Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP) exhibits bright green fluorescence when exposed to blue light. Although many other marine organisms have similar green fluorescent proteins, GFP traditionally refers to the protein first isolated from the jellyfish Aequorea victoria. GFP from A. victoria has a major excitation peak at a wavelength of 395 nm and a minor one at 475 nm. Its emission peak is at 509 nm, which is in the lower green portion of the visible spectrum.
