Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to
worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting
immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.
TCR Screening Services
Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding.
Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".
Human, Rat, Pig, Chicken (tested or 100% immunogen sequence identity)
Protein G purified
IHC - Paraffin, Immunofluorescence, Western blot (1 - 2 µg/ml)
Specificity and Use
GFAP antibody was raised against glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein (51-52kD). Cellular Localization: Cytoplasmic.
Stains human astrocytes, glial cells, ependymal cells and their corresponding tumors. Does not stain many types of neural tumors such as neuroblastomas, Schwannomas and extra-CNS tumors. Species cross-reactivity: porcine, rat, chicken.
Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Western Blot: 1-2 ug/ml for 2hrs at RT. Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin): 1-2 ug/ml for 30 min at RT. Note: No special pretreatment required prior to staining of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections. Positive control: IMR-5 cells, Brain or astrocytoma.
PBS, pH 7.4, 0.2% BSA, 0.1% sodium azide.
Long term: Add glycerol (40-50%) -20°C; Short term: +4°C
