The Immunohistochemistry Antibody Company
Human, Mouse (tested or 100% immunogen sequence identity)
GAPDH antibody was raised against the epitope recognized maps to a region between residues 250 and 300 of human Glyceraldehyde-3-Phosphate Dehydrogenase using the numbering given in entry NP_002037.2 (GeneID 2597).
Species cross-reactivity: Human and mouse. Other species have not been tested. Reactivity with X. laevis GAPDH is expected owing to conservation of sequence between this ortholog and human GAPDH at the site to which the epitope maps.
Suitable for use in Western Blot.
TBS, pH 7.2, 0.1% BSA.
For research use only.
GAPDH Antibody, A1 40 kd subunit Antibody, Activator 1 40 kd subunit Antibody, G3PD Antibody, GAPD Antibody, G3pdh Antibody, Rfc40 Antibody, Rf-c 40 kd subunit AntibodyHas both glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase and nitrosylase activities, thereby playing a role in glycolysis and nuclear functions, respectively. Participates in nuclear events including transcription, RNA transport, DNA replication and apoptosis. Nuclear functions are probably due to the nitrosylase activity that mediates cysteine S-nitrosylation of nuclear target proteins such as SIRT1, HDAC2 and PRKDC. Modulates the organization and assembly of the cytoskeleton.
