GAP-43 purified from rat brain.

Recognizes GAP-43 (also known as growth associated protein-43, B-50, F1 and pp46), regardless of the protein's phosphorylation state. Species Reactivity: Human, rat, feline and hamster.

Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry. Immunohistochemistry: 0.1-0.5 ug/ml on 4% paraformaldehyde perfused and fixed rat cerebellum and cerebrum tissue. The addition of 0.01-0.1% Triton X- 100 to incubation buffer will increase cellular permeability. Western blot: 0.1-0.5 ug/ml using rat cerebral preparation (7.5% non-gradient denaturing gel). Will detect a single 48kD band. Western Blot: 1:1000 on 10 ug of rat brain lysates.
