Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to
worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting
immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.
TCR Screening Services
Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding.
Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".
Rabbit Polyclonal (IgG) to Human GALR1 / Galanin Receptor 1

IHC - Paraffin (10 µg/ml)
Specificity and Use
GALR1 / Galanin Receptor 1 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide corresponding to a region within amino acids 285 and 349 of galanin receptor 1 (SwissProt P47211). Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Chicken (100%).
Antibody reactive against peptide, detects immunogen.

Aliquot and freeze at -20° C. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
GalR1 is a Galanin Receptor that mediates the effects of the peptide galanin in a wide variety of tissues. Unlike GalR2, the primary signaling mechanism of GalR1 is by inhibiting adenylate cyclase through Gi. GalR1 regulates the GnRH neuroendocrine axis with its expression in POMC neurons. Pathogens like E. coli can cause diarrhea by increasing expression of Galanin Receptor 1 in the epithelial cells lining the colon, resulting in increased secretion of colonocyte chloride and fluid.
