Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Product Description

GABRD antibody LS-C56983 is an unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody to GABRD from human, mouse, rat and other species. Validated for IHC, IP and WB.
About GABRD
Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) is the major inhibitory neurotransmitter in the mammalian brain where it acts at GABA-A receptors, which are ligand-gated chloride channels. Chloride conductance of these channels can be modulated by agents such as benzodiazepines that bind to the GABA-A receptor. The GABA-A receptor is generally pentameric and there are five types of subunits: alpha, beta, gamma, delta, and rho. This gene encodes the delta subunit. O14764 NM_000815 NP_000806.2

N-Terminus
Specificity
Recognizes the delta subunit of the gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) A receptor. GABA is the major inhibitory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system, regulating muscle tone and other functions. The GABAA receptors are ligand-gated anion channels that mediate the majority of fast synaptic inhibition in the brain. GABAA receptors are composed of five subunits derived from different subunit classes, the delta subclass being one of them. The GABAA receptors are important targets for a variety of drugs such as benzodiazepines, barbiturates, steroids, anesthetics and convulsants. Does not recognize other GABAA-R subunits as reactivity is eliminated in delta knockout brain.
Usage
Western Blot: LS-C56983 detects a band of approximately 52kD in mouse cerebellar lysates.
