The sequence is identical in mouse and in human and bovine from aa4-15. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Mouse, Rat, Horse (100%); Hamster, Turkey, Chicken (87%); Zebrafish (80%).

Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-rabbit IgG-HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system. Immunoprecipitation: 4 ug immunoprecipitates the GABA A Receptor a1 subunit from 500 ug of a rat brain microsomal tissue extract. Immunohistochemistry: Detects the GABA A Receptor a1 subunit in 4% paraglutaraldehyde fixed frozen sections permeabilized with Triton X-100.
