Specificity and Use
GABPB1 antibody was raised against recombinant fragment corresponding to a region within amino acids 1 and 395 of GABPB1 (SwissProt Q06547). Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human (100%); Bovine (96%); Mouse (94%).
IHC-paraffin: Suggested antigen retrieval using heat mediated 10 mM Citrate buffer (pH 6.0) or Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).

GABPB1 is the GA-binding protein transcription factor, beta subunit. This protein forms a tetrameric complex with the alpha subunit, and stimulates transcription of target genes. The encoded protein may be involved in activation of cytochrome oxidase expression and nuclear control of mitochondrial function. The crystal structure of a similar protein in mouse has been resolved as a ternary protein complex.
