  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

GABBR1 / GABA B Receptor 1 antibody was raised against peptide corresponding to aa 33-54 of the GABABR1 subunit.
Recognizes the GABABR1 subunit. The GABAB receptor is the first discovered G-protein-coupled receptor whose function requires two subunits, R1 and R2, to form a functional receptor. The R1 subunit extracellular domain binds GABA, and the R2 subunit functions in G-protein activation.
Western Blot: A band of approximately 120 kD is detected.

PBS, pH 7.4, 0.02% sodium azide

Component of a heterodimeric G-protein coupled receptor for GABA, formed by GABBR1 and GABBR2. Within the heterodimeric GABA receptor, only GABBR1 seems to bind agonists, while GABBR2 mediates coupling to G proteins. Ligand binding causes a conformation change that triggers signaling via guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) and modulates the activity of down-stream effectors, such as adenylate cyclase.
