Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

FOLR1 / Folate Receptor Alpha antibody was raised against folate Binding Protein (Bovine Milk).
Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-peroxidase, anti-goat serum as well as purified and partially purified Folate Binding Protein [bovine milk]. Cross-reactivity against Folate Binding Protein from other sources is unknown.
Suitable for use in Immunoelectrophoresis, Western Blot, Dot Blot, ELISA, Immunomicroscopy and Immunohistochemistry. ELISA: 1:2000 to 1:12000. Assay against 1 ug Folate Binding Protein (Bovine Milk) using ATBS as a substrate for 30 minutes at RT. The applications listed have been tested for the unconjugated form of this product. Other forms have not been tested.

Packaging

PBS, pH 7.2, 10 mg/ml polyethylene glycol (PEG-8000), 0.01% Gentamicin sulfate.

About FOLR1 / Folate Receptor Alpha

P15328 NM_016730 NP_057942.1

FOLR1 Antibody, Adult folate-binding protein Antibody, FBP Antibody, Folate receptor alpha Antibody, KB cells FBP Antibody, Folate binding protein Antibody, Folate receptor 1 Antibody, Folate receptor 1 (adult) Antibody, Folate receptor, adult Antibody, FOLR Antibody, FR-alpha Antibody

Binds to folate and reduced folic acid derivatives and mediates delivery of 5-methyltetrahydrofolate and folate analogs into the interior of cells. Has high affinity for folate and folic acid analogs at neutral pH. Exposure to slightly acidic pH after receptor endocytosis triggers a conformation change that strongly reduces its affinity for folates and mediates their release. Required for normal embryonic development and normal cell proliferation.
