  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

Fibrinogen antibody was raised against fibrinogen isolated from human plasma.
Has specificity for human fibrinogen degradation product D-fragment. Reacts with both purified D-monomer, fibrinogen and factor VIII. Epitope specificity differs from that of clone 6F99 as determined by inhibition ELISA. Reacts strongly with D-monomer. Strong reaction is seen in ELISA with antigen directly coated onto the microtiter plate or in sandwich ELISA in combination with a polyclonal antibody against fibrinogen. In Western blotting after SDS-PAGE, this antibody reacts with fibrinogen degradation product D-monomer in nonreduced forms to create a band of approximately 92kD.
Immunohistochemistry: LS-B3048 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B3048 was determined to be 10 ug/ml.

PBS, pH 7.2, 15 mM sodium azide, 40% glycerol.
Long term: Add glycerol (40-50%) -20°C; Short term: +4°C

About Fibrinogen

Fibrinogen (factor I) is a glycoprotein in vertebrates that helps in the formation of blood clots. It consists of a linear array of three nodules held together by a very thin thread which is estimated to have a diameter between 8 and 15 Angstrom (Å). The two end nodules are alike but the center one is slightly smaller. Measurements of shadow lengths indicate that nodule diameters are in the range 50 to 70 Angstrom. The length of the dried molecule is 475 ± 25 Angstrom.
