Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

About FAR1

Q8WVX9 AK026381 BAB15467.1

FAR1 Antibody, Fatty acyl CoA reductase 1 Antibody, Fatty acyl-CoA reductase 1 Antibody, MLSTD2 Antibody, SDR10E1 Antibody, Putative fatty acyl reductase Antibody

FAR1 is required for the reduction of fatty acids to fatty alcohols, a process that is required for the synthesis of monoesters and ether lipids. NADPH is required as a cofactor in this reaction, and 16-18 carbon saturated and unsaturated fatty acids are the preferred substrate. This is a peroxisomal membrane protein, and studies suggest that the N-terminus contains a large catalytic domain located on the outside of the peroxisome, while the C-terminus is exposed to the matrix of the peroxisome.

Western blot

Western blot
HepG2 cell lysate. Antibody concentration: 1.25 ug/ml. Gel concentration: 12%. This image was taken for the unconjugated form of this product. Other forms have not been tested.
