Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Gibbon, Monkey, Marmoset, Mouse, Rat, Panda, Dog, Bat, Horse, Pig, Opossum (92%); Sheep, Goat, Hamster, Elephant, Bovine, Rabbit, Platypus, Lizard, Trout, Catfish, Salmon, Sablefish, Zebrafish (85%).

Specificity
Recognizes Fatty Acid Binding Protein (FABP), Heart, Adipocyte. Isoform Sequence Homology: Human adipocyte lipid binding protein (hALBP, 132aa), mouse/rat H-FABPs: 100%; human muscle FABP, porcine and bovine H-FABPs: 91%. No significant homology is seen with other isoforms of FABPs. Species sequence Homology: The sequence is also quite conserved in species as diverse as fish and C. elegans FABP.
