This sequence is completely conserved in rat and mouse ER and is highly conserved in sheep, pig, dog, bovine and chicken ER. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Gibbon, Monkey, Marmoset, Tamarin, Mouse, Rat, Hamster, Cat, Rabbit, Horse (100%); Panda, Bovine, Pig (95%); Sheep, Opossum (90%); Turkey, Chicken (86%).

Specificity
Recognizes human and rat endogenous ER alpha. Detects a band of ~64kD by Western blot. Does not cross-react with ER beta. This sequence is completely conserved in rat and mouse ER alpha and is highly conserved in sheep, porcine, canine, bovine and chicken ER alpha.
