Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to
worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting
immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.
TCR Screening Services
Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding.
Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".
(applications tested for the base form of this product only)
Specificity and Use
EMA / MUC1 antibody was raised against human breast cancer cell line ZR-75-1. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Gibbon (100%); Rabbit (83%).
Reacts with the human 12-mer GVTSAPDTRPAP epitope of the MUC-1 tandem repeat.
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Immunohistochemistry: Frozen tissue sections or formalin fixed paraffin wax embedded tissue sections. Note: HIER (Microwave, citrate buffer pH 6.0) may be advantageous for some applications.
PBS, 1 mg/ml BSA, 10 mM sodium azide.
Short term 4°C, long term aliquot and store at -20°C, avoid freeze thaw cycles.
EMA / MUC1 is a membrane-bound protein that is a member of the mucin family. Mucins are O-glycosylated proteins that play an essential role in forming protective mucous barriers on epithelial surfaces. These proteins also play a role in intracellular signaling. This protein is expressed on the apical surface of epithelial cells that line the mucosal surfaces of many different tissues including lung, breast stomach and pancreas.
