Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

EGFR antibody was raised against synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to residues surrounding Tyr1068 of human EGF receptor (KLH).
pTyr1068
Recognizes endogenous levels of human EGF receptor at ~175kD only when phosphorylated at Tyr1068 at 175kD. The antibody may cross-react with other activated EGF receptor family members (e. g., ErbB2), and cross-reacts slightly with activated PDGF receptor.
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Western Blot: 1:1000. Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:50-350.

Packaging

10 mM HEPES, pH 7.5, 150 mM sodium chloride, 0.1 mg/ml BSA, 50% glycerol. No preservative added.
Long term: -20°C; Short term: +4°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.
For research use only.

EGFR Antibody, EGFf receptor Antibody, ERBB Antibody, ERBB1 Antibody, MENA Antibody, PIG61 Antibody, Proto-oncogene c-ErbB-1 Antibody, V-erb-b homolog Antibody, EGF-R Antibody, HER1 Antibody

Receptor tyrosine kinase binding ligands of the EGF family and activating several signaling cascades to convert extracellular cues into appropriate cellular responses. Known ligands include EGF, TGFA/TGF-alpha, amphiregulin, epigen/EPGN, BTC/betacellulin, epiregulin/EREG and HBEGF/heparin-binding EGF. Ligand binding triggers receptor homo- and/or heterodimerization and autophosphorylation on key cytoplasmic residues.
