Synthetic human epidermal growth factor (hEGF) covalently attached onto a carrier protein.
Specificity
Recognizes Epidermal Growth Factor (Human). The reactivity of EGF (rat) is 90% and EGF (mouse) is 1%. Does not react to IGF-1 (human), IGF-2 (rat), TGF alpha (human), ACTH (human, 1-39), Calcitonin (human), PTH (bovine, 1-84), Somatostatin and Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide. Specific for hEGF and is suitable for immunocytochemical and Western immunoblot detection of this growth factor.
