  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

  • ELISA (1:10000 - 1:100000)

Specificity and Use

ECEL1 antibody was raised against a 17-aa peptide sequence, mapping nears the cytoplasmic N-terminus of rat DINE (KLH coupled). No significant sequence homology is seen with NEP, NEPLs or ECEs or other proteins. Species Sequence Homology: mouse (94%) and human (88%).
Recognizes rat DINE.
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Western Blot: 1:1000-1:5000. ELISA: 1:10000-1:100000 using 50-100 ng of control peptide/well.

PBS, 0.05% sodium azide, 40% glycerol.
Long term: -20°C; Short term: +4°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

About ECEL1

ECEL1 Antibody, XCE Antibody, Xce protein Antibody, DINE Antibody, ECEX Antibody, X converting enzyme Antibody

ECEL1 is a member of the M13 family of endopeptidases. Members of this family are zinc-containing type II integral-membrane proteins that are important regulators of neuropeptide and peptide hormone activity. Mutations in this gene are associated with autosomal recessive distal arthrogryposis, type 5D. This gene has multiple pseudogenes on chromosome 2. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
