Immunohistochemical analysis of DUSP16 staining in human brain formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with hematoxylin and mounted with DPX.

About DUSP16 / MKP7
MKP7 is a dual specificity MAP kinase phosphatase which has been shown to bind and inactivate kinases p38 (isoforms alpha and beta) and JNK, but not ERK. A mutant form MKP7 has been shown to function as a dominant negative, particularly against the dephosphorylation of JNK in vitro, suggesting that MKP7 works as a JNK-specific phosphatase in vivo. Detailed transcriptional mapping of 12p12 chromosomal region has identified MKP7 as a possible tumor suppressor gene. Q9BY84 AB052156 BAB40814.1
