Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to
worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting
immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.
TCR Screening Services
Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding.
Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use
DSG1 / Desmoglein 1 antibody was raised against recombinant human desmoglein 1.
Recognizes human desmoglein 1, a 165kD glycoprotein that is a core component of the desmosome cell-cell junction between epithelial cells. Desmoglein 1 is synthesized in the suprabasal layer of the skin, and is vital to epidermal integrity. Does not recognize desmoglein-2 or desmoglein-3.
Western Blot: LS-C44526 detects a band of approximately 165kD in epithelial cell lysates.
DSG1 / Desmoglein 1 is a member of the desmoglein protein subfamily. Desmogleins, along with desmocollins, are cadherin-like transmembrane glycoproteins that are major components of the desmosome. Desmosomes are cell-cell junctions that help resist shearing forces and are found in high concentrations in cells subject to mechanical stress. This gene is found in a cluster with other desmoglein family members on chromosome 18.
