Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

DRD2 / Dopamine Receptor D2 antibody was raised against an 11 aa peptide near the N-terminus ligand binding domain of rat D2R. This peptide sequence is right before the first membrane spanning domain.
N-Terminus
Recognizes rat Dopamine Receptor, D2R. Species cross-reactivity: human (CNS and peripheral), Lobster, Squid and crawfish. Species sequence homology: mouse -100%, human -90%, bovine and canine -72%.
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western blot.

Packaging

PBS, 0.05% sodium azide.
Long term: -20°C; Short term: +4°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

DRD2 / Dopamine Receptor D2 is the D2 subtype of the dopamine receptor. This G-protein coupled receptor inhibits adenylyl cyclase activity. A missense mutation in this gene causes myoclonus dystonia; other mutations have been associated with schizophrenia. Alternative splicing of this gene results in two transcript variants encoding different isoforms. A third variant has been described, but it has not been determined whether this form is normal or due to aberrant splicing.
