DRD1 / Dopamine Receptor D1 antibody was raised against d1 (Ac-9-21-Cys 22) covalently attached onto a carrier protein.
Recognizes D1 Dopamine Receptor (9-21). Does not react to D2 Dopamine Receptor (272-282), D2 Dopamine Receptor, D3 Dopamine Receptor (2-10), D3 Dopamine Receptor, D4 Dopamine Receptor (176-185), D4 Dopamine Receptor, D5 Dopamine Receptor (23-35) and D5 Dopamine Receptor. Highly specific for this peptide sequence and are suitable for immunocytochemical and Western Blot detection of the D1 dopamine receptor.

DRD1, a Dopamine Receptor, mediates the effect of the neurotransmitter dopamine, an intermediate in the biosynthesis of noradrenaline and adrenaline. It is involved in the control of motor activity and cognitive memory. Downregulation of DRD1 leads to severe impairments in working memory and to locomotor hyperactivity, which are observed in diseases such as schizophrenia, Parkinson's disease, affective disorders, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
