Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to
worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting
immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.
TCR Screening Services
Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding.
Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".
Human (tested or 100% immunogen sequence identity)
Western blot (1 - 5 µg/ml)
ELISA (1:10000 - 1:50000)
Specificity and Use
DLK1 / Pref-1 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide consisting of 13aa sequence near the extracellular, N-terminus of mature human Pref-1 (KLH coupled).
Recognizes mature human Pref-1. Because the epitope is located near the extracellular N-terminus, will detect both the membrane and soluble forms of Pref-1. Species sequence Homology: Bovine and porcine: 84%; rat: 76%; mouse: 69%.
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Western Blot: 1-5 ug/ml using ECL. ELISA: 1:10000-1:50000 10-100 ng of control peptide/well.
PBS, pH 7.4, 0.1% BSA.
Short term: 4°C. Long term: Store at -20°C. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
DLK1 / Pref-1 is a transmembrane protein containing six epidermal growth factor repeats. The protein is involved in the differentiation of several cell types, including adipocytes; it is also thought to be a tumor suppressor. It is one of several imprinted genes located in a region of on chr 14q32. Certain mutations in this imprinted region can cause phenotypes similar to maternal and paternal uniparental disomy of chromosome 14 (UPD14). This gene is expressed from the paternal allele.
