  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

DIS / CCAR1 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide corresponding to an epitope within amino acid residues 700-750 of human CCAR1(NP_060707.2).
Recognizes human CCAR1 (Cell cycle and apoptosis regulatory protein 1), a perinuclear phosphoprotein expressed by several epithelial cancer cell lines, which has been implicated as a regulator of transcription, through association with components of the Mediator and p160 coactivator complexes, and its role as a p53 coactivator. CCAR1 acts as an inducer of apoptosis signalling, under the regulation of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), caspase-9 activation, the mitogen-activated protein kinase pathway, and in response to chemotherapeutic agents, and has been shown to act as a suppressor of human breast cancer growth.

Tris-citrate/PBS, 0.1% sodium azide

About DIS / CCAR1

Q8IX12 NP_060707.2

CCAR1 Antibody, CARP1 Antibody, CARP-1 Antibody, Death inducer with SAP domain Antibody, DIS Antibody, RP11-437A18.1 Antibody

Associates with components of the Mediator and p160 coactivator complexes that play a role as intermediaries transducing regulatory signals from upstream transcriptional activator proteins to basal transcription machinery at the core promoter. Recruited to endogenous nuclear receptor target genes in response to the appropriate hormone. Also functions as a p53 coactivator. May thus play an important role in transcriptional regulation By similarity.
