  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

DDB2 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide from human DDB2.
Amino acids 419-427 of Human DDB2 (C-terminal) coupled to KLH.
This antibody reacts with human DDB2 by western blot and immunoprecipitation. The antibody immunoprecipitates in vitro translated protein and protein from cell lysates (using 293T, and others). Coimmunoprecipitation of related proteins has not been tested. A 47.8 kD band corresponding to human DDB2 is detected. Most cell lines expressing DDB2 can be used as a positive control. Researchers should determine optimal titers for other applications.

Serum. Supplied as a liquid, 0.1% sodium azide.
Store vial at -20 C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20 C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
For research use only.

About DDB2

Q92466 NM_000107 NP_000098.1

DDB2 Antibody, DNA damage-binding protein 2 Antibody, DDB p48 subunit Antibody, UV-DDB 2 Antibody, DDBB Antibody, UV-DDB2 Antibody

Required for DNA repair. Binds to DDB1 to form the UV-damaged DNA-binding protein complex (the UV-DDB complex). The UV-DDB complex may recognize UV-induced DNA damage and recruit proteins of the nucleotide excision repair pathway (the NER pathway) to initiate DNA repair. The UV-DDB complex preferentially binds to cyclobutane pyrimidine dimers (CPD), 6-4 photoproducts (6-4 PP), apurinic sites and short mismatches.
