  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

DDB1 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide from human DDB1.
Synthetic peptide conugated to protein carrier. The mice were immunized with a combination of N & C peptide. The Swiss Prot ID is Q16531. The exact region recognized by this product has not yet been determined.
Immunohistochemistry: LS-B1691 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B1691 was determined to be 5 ug/ml.

About DDB1

Q16531 NM_001923 NP_001914.3

DDB1 Antibody, DDB p127 subunit Antibody, DDBA Antibody, HBV X-associated protein 1 Antibody, UV-DDB1 Antibody, XAP-1 Antibody, XPE Antibody, XPE-binding factor Antibody, UV-damaged DNA-binding factor Antibody, XPCE Antibody, DNA damage-binding protein 1 Antibody, DNA damage-binding protein a Antibody, UV-DDB 1 Antibody, XAP1 Antibody, XPE-BF Antibody

Required for DNA repair. Binds to DDB2 to form the UV-damaged DNA-binding protein complex (the UV-DDB complex). The UV-DDB complex may recognize UV-induced DNA damage and recruit proteins of the nucleotide excision repair pathway (the NER pathway) to initiate DNA repair. The UV-DDB complex preferentially binds to cyclobutane pyrimidine dimers (CPD), 6-4 photoproducts (6-4 PP), apurinic sites and short mismatches.

Anti-DDB1 antibody IHC of human thymus. Immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue after heat-induced antigen retrieval. Antibody LS-B1691 concentration 5 ug/ml.
