  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

DACT1 / DAPPER antibody was raised against a peptide corresponding to amino acids 373-386 within exon4 of mouse Dact1.
Recognizes mouse Dact1 (Dapper homolog 1), an intracellular protein and member of the dapper family, which acts as a positive regulator of the signalling pathways of Dishevelled 2 (DVL2), a cytoplasmic protein which plays a pivotal role in Wnt signalling during vertebrate development. Dact1 is involved in enhancement of the transcriptional activation of target genes of the Wnt signalling pathway, through its intracellular co-localization with DVL2 and inhibition of the degradation of CTNNB1/beta-catenin. Mice homozygous for mutations in Dact1, display malformations involving the spine, genitourinary system and distal digestive tract, which was traced to disrupted germ-layer morphogenesis at the primitive streak.

Involved in regulation of intracellular signaling pathways during development. Specifically thought to play a role in canonical and/or non-canonical Wnt signaling pathways through interaction with DSH (Dishevelled) family proteins. The activation/inhibition of Wnt signaling may depend on the phosphorylation status. Proposed to regulate the degradation of CTNNB1/beta-catenin, thereby modulating the transcriptional activation of target genes of the Wnt signaling pathway.
