Specificity and Use
E. coli CNF1/CNF2.
Specific for Cytotoxic necrotizing factor type 1 and the highly related Cytotoxic necrotizing factor type 2 (CNF1 and CNF2) of uropathogenic Escherichia coli. Recognizes an epitope between aa169-191 of the N-terminal binding domain. It neutralizes only CNF1.
Suitable for use in Immunoassays, Western Blot, and inhibition of toxin activity of CNF1. JC4 does not inhibit the toxin activity of CNF2. Western Blot: 1:10.
