Specificity
Recognizes human cytokeratin 5. Demonstrates cross-reactivity with cytokeratin 6. Demonstrates weak cross-reactivity with cytokeratin 4 on immunoblots. Does not cross-react with cytokeratins 1, 7, 8, 10, 13, 14, 18 or 19. Recognizes basal cells and a part of stratum spinosum in the normal pavement epithelium.

Usage
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence. Immunohistochemistry (frozen or paraffin sections): 1:50-1:100. Western Blot: Recognizes a 58kD and 56kD band corresponding to cytokeratin 5 and 6. Cytoskeletal preparations of epidermis.
