CSF2 / GM-CSF antibody was raised against yeast-expressed recombinant mouse GM-CSF.
Recognizes mouse Granulocyte Macrophage Colony Stimulating Factor (GM-CSF).
ELISA Detection: Useful as a detection antibody in a sandwich ELISA for quantifying mouse GM-CSF protein levels.1,3-5 Biotinylated antibody should be paired with purified antibody (Cat. Western Blot: The purified antibody is also useful for immunoprecipitation4 and Western blot applications. For Western blotting, a concentration of 1-5 ug/ml (in conjunction with AP-labeled Goat Anti-Rat-Ig) has been found to enable detection of 100 ng/lane of recombinant mouse GM-CSF under reducing conditions. |
100 mM borate buffered saline, pH 8.0. No preservatives or amine-containing buffer salts added.
Short term: +4°C; Long term: Add glycerol (40-50%) -20°C.

CSF2 / GM-CSF is a cytokine that controls the production, differentiation, and function of granulocytes and macrophages. The active form of the protein is found extracellularly as a homodimer. This gene has been localized to a cluster of related genes at chromosome region 5q31, which is known to be associated with interstitial deletions in the 5q- syndrome and acute myelogenous leukemia. Other genes in the cluster include those encoding interleukins 4, 5, and 13.
