Specificity and Use
CSF1R / CD115 / FMS antibody was raised against raw 264 cells.
2E11 recognizes the murine CD115 cell surface antigen, also known as the M-CSF receptor and as c-fms. CD115 is expressed by cells of the monocytic lineage and by progenitor cells.2E11 has been shown to inhibit in vitro colony formation in response to M-CSF in both rats and mice.
The applications listed have been tested for the base form of this product. Alternate forms, such as conjugated, azide-free, or ready-to-use, have not been tested.
Tyrosine-protein kinase that acts as cell-surface receptor for CSF1 and IL34 and plays an essential role in the regulation of survival, proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic precursor cells, especially mononuclear phagocytes, such as macrophages and monocytes. Promotes the release of proinflammatory chemokines in response to IL34 and CSF1, and thereby plays an important role in innate immunity and in inflammatory processes.
