Recognizes mouse Carnitine Palmitoyl Transferase 1, Muscle (CPT1-M). No significant sequence homology is seen with LCPT-1, CPT-2 or any other protein. Species sequence homology: Rat: 92%; human: 69%.
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Western Blot: 1-10 ug/ml (ECL). ELISA: 1:10000-1:100000. Coat plates with 50-100 ng of control peptide/well. |
PBS, 0.1% BSA | |
Short term 4°C, long term aliquot and store at -20°C, avoid freeze thaw cycles.

The protein encoded by this gene, a member of the carnitine/choline acetyltransferase family, is the rate-controlling enzyme of the long-chain fatty acid beta-oxidation pathway in muscle mitochondria. This enzyme is required for the net transport of long-chain fatty acyl-CoAs from the cytoplasm into the mitochondria.
