Collagen Type VI.

Recognizes human type VI collagen. Does not react with denatured or reduced type VI collagen, although this antibody does recognize the triple helix consisting of alpha1 (VI), alpha 2 (VI) and alpha3 (gamma) The epitope has not been mapped and is not known to react with collagens I, II, III, IV, or V in native assays. Species cross-reactivity: rabbit.

Please note that this antibody does not react with denatured or reduced type VI collagen. Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Western Blot: 10 ug/ml. Immunohistochemistry: 1-10 ug/ml on acetone fixed paraffin-embedded tissues or frozen tissues. Not recommended for formalin fixed tissues. Epitope retrieval suggestions are treatment with 0.04% trypsin in 0.01 M CaCl2, 0.05 M Tris-HCl, pH 7.6, 37?C for 10 min before the non specific peroxidase block.

PBS, pH 7.0, 2% BSA (protease-free).
