  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

CHUK / IKKA / IKK Alpha antibody was raised against synthetic phosphopeptide derived from the region of human IKKa that contains serine 176 and serine 180. The sequence is conserved in mouse.
Recognizes human IKKa. Species sequence homology: mouse-100%. Sequence homology: IKKb-93%.
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Western Blot: 0.5-1.5 ug/ml. at 0.75 ug/ml, the dilution provides 100 ml working solution, which 10 ml/blot allows 10 blots to be performed. When examining phosphorylation of endogenous IKKa protein, we recommend that IKKa first be immunoprecipitated. Positive control: Immunoprecipitates prepared from lysates of Jurkat cells, treated with TNF-a.

PBS (without Mg2+, Ca2+), 1 mg/ml BSA (IgG, protease free), pH 7.3, 0.05% sodium azide, before tha addition of glycerol to 40%.
Long term: Add glycerol (40-50%) -20°C; Short term: +4°C
For research use only.

Serine kinase that plays an essential role in the NF-kappa-B signaling pathway which is activated by multiple stimuli such as inflammatory cytokines, bacterial or viral products, DNA damages or other cellular stresses. Acts as part of the canonical IKK complex in the conventional pathway of NF-kappa-B activation and phosphorylates inhibitors of NF-kappa-B on serine residues. These modifications allow polyubiquitination of the inhibitors and subsequent degradation by the proteasome.
