Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to
worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting
immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.
TCR Screening Services
Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding.
Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".
Human, Monkey, Rat, Guinea pig (tested or 100% immunogen sequence identity)

Specificity and Use
CHAT antibody was raised against purified human placenta ChAT
Reacts with Choline Acetyltransferase (ChAT)
Western blotting: 1:1000-1:10000 using a high sensitivity ECL kit. Recognizes a protein of ~67 kD. May also recognize a protein of 35 kD which is thought to be a degradation product. Suggested dilution buffer is TBS containing 5% skim milk powder and 0.05
CHAT is an enzyme which catalyzes the biosynthesis of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. This gene product is a characteristic feature of cholinergic neurons, and changes in these neurons may explain some of the symptoms of Alzheimer's disease. Polymorphisms in this gene have been associated with Alzheimer's disease and mild cognitive impairment. Mutations in this gene are associated with congenital myasthenic syndrome associated with episodic apnea.
