  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

CDK5RAP2 antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide, which maps to a region between residues 900 and 950 of human CDK5 Regulatory Subunit Associated Protein 2 using the numbering given in entry NP_060719.4 (GeneID 55755).
Species cross-reactivity: Human. Other species have not been tested. Reactivity with mouse CDK5RAP2 is unlikely owing to divergence of sequence between this ortholog and human CDK5RAP2 at the site to which the epitope maps.
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation.

Tris-citrate/phosphate, pH 7 to 8.
For research use only.

CDK5RAP2 Antibody, Cep215 Antibody, Centrosomal protein 215 kDa Antibody, MCPH3 Antibody, C48 Antibody, KIAA1633 Antibody

Potential regulator of CDK5 activity via its interaction with CDK5R1. Negative regulator of centriole disengagement (licensing) which maintains centriole engagement and cohesion. Involved in regulation of mitotic spindle orientation (By similarity). Plays a role in the spindle checkpoint activation by acting as a transcriptional regulator of both BUBR1 and MAD2 promoter. Together with MAPRE1, it may promote microtubule polymerization, bundle formation, growth and dynamics at the plus ends.
