  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

CD95 / FAS antibody was raised against fusion protein comprising extracellular domain of human Fas linked to human Fc.
Extracellular Domain
Recognizes human Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 6, also known as CD95, Fas or Apo-1 antigen. CD95 is a 335 amino acid ~40-50kD single pass type 1 transmembrane glycoprotein bearing a single and three. CD95 is expressed by activated T and B cells, NK cells and thymocytes. LOB 3/11 induces apoptosis of cell lines expressing high levels of CD95, induction of apoptosis can be abrogated by ZVAD a cell permeable caspase inhibitor. Has been used successfully for the identification of Fas expressing cells in the decidua by immunohistochemistry on Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue.
Flow Cytometry: Use 10 ul of the suggested working dilution to label 10^6 cells in 100 ul. Method sheets are available on request. The applications listed have been tested for the unmodified form of this product. Other forms have not been tested.

CD95 / FAS is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily. This receptor contains a death domain. It has been shown to play a central role in the physiological regulation of programmed cell death, and has been implicated in the pathogenesis of various malignancies and diseases of the immune system. The interaction of this receptor with its ligand allows the formation of a death-inducing signaling complex that includes Fas-associated death domain protein (FADD), caspase 8, and caspase 10.
