Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

CD8A / CD8 Alpha antibody was raised against mouse CD8A
The 53-6.7 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse thymocyte and splenocyte suspensions. This can be used at less than or equal to 0.125 ug per test. A test is defined as the amount (ug) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 ul. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest. The applications listed have been tested for the unconjugated form of this product. Other forms have not been tested.

Packaging

PBS, pH 7.2, 150 mM sodium chloride, 0.09% sodium azide
Store at +4°C. Do not freeze. Product is photosensitive and should be protected from light.

About CD8A / CD8 Alpha

P01732 NM_001768 NP_001759.3

CD8A Antibody, CD8a molecule Antibody, CD8a antigen Antibody, OKT8 T-cell antigen Antibody, Leu2 T-lymphocyte antigen Antibody, T8 T-cell antigen Antibody, T cell co-receptor Antibody, p32 Antibody, CD8 Antibody, Leu2 Antibody, T-cell antigen Leu2 Antibody

The CD8 antigen is a cell surface glycoprotein found on most cytotoxic T lymphocytes that mediates efficient cell-cell interactions within the immune system. The CD8 antigen acts as a coreceptor with the T-cell receptor on the T lymphocyte to recognize antigens displayed by an antigen presenting cell in the context of class I MHC molecules. The coreceptor functions as either a homodimer composed of two alpha chains or as a heterodimer composed of one alpha and one beta chain.

Flow Cytometry

Flow Cytometry
Staining of mouse splenocytes with FITC anti-CD3 (145-2C11) (LS-C105774) and 0.06 ug of APC anti-mouse CD8 (53-6.7). Total viable cells were used for analysis. This image was taken for the unconjugated form of this product. Other forms have not been tested.

Flow Cytometry

Flow Cytometry
Staining of mouse splenocytes with FITC anti-CD3 (145-2C11) (LS-C105774) and 0.06 ug of APC rat IgG2a isotype control. Total viable cells were used for analysis. This image was taken for the unconjugated form of this product. Other forms have not been tested.
