  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

CD86 antibody was raised against b-lymphoblastoid cell line ARH 77.
The antibody reacts with CD86, a 70 kD type I transmembrane gycoprotein of the immunoglobulin supergene family, expressed on antigen-presenting cells such as dendritic cells, macrophages or activated B lymphocytes.
Flow Cytometry: Recommended dilution - 5 ug/ml. Functional Application: The antibody BU63 blocks mixed lymphocyte reaction (MLR) and binding of soluble CTLA-4 (CD152)-mulg fusion protein to CD86 (B7-2).

PBS, 15 mM sodium azide, approx., pH 7.4.
+4°C or -20°C, Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

CD86 is a type I membrane protein that is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is expressed by antigen-presenting cells, and it is the ligand for two proteins at the cell surface of T cells, CD28 antigen and cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4. Binding of this protein with CD28 antigen is a costimulatory signal for activation of the T-cell.
