  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

CD8 antibody was raised against normal human blood lymphocytes.
Recognizes the human CD8 cell surface glycoprotein expressed by a subset of peripheral blood T cells which express cytotoxic/suppressor activity. It is also expressed weakly on NK cells. The CD8 antigen is a co-receptor for MHC Class I in conjunction with the T cell receptor and is important in the selection process of CD8+ MHC Class I restricted T cells. Species cross-reactivity: cross-reacts with Rhesus monkey.
Flow Cytometry: Neat.

PBS, pH 7.2, 0.1% sodium azide.
Long term: -20°C; Short term: +4°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.
For research use only.

About CD8

CD8 (cluster of differentiation 8) is a transmembrane glycoprotein that serves as a co-receptor for the T cell receptor (TCR). Like the TCR, CD8 binds to a major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecule, but is specific for the class I MHC protein. There are two isoforms of the protein, alpha and beta, each encoded by a different gene. In humans, both genes are located on chromosome 2 in position 2p12.
