  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

CD16 antibody was raised against human granulocytes.
Reacts with the epitope on CD16 antigen that residing in proximity to FG loop (probably BC or C'E loop). CD16 is a low affinity receptor for aggregated IgG (FcgammaRIII antigen). Recognizes a polymorphism of CD16a (NK-cells form), it reacts well with granulocyte form (CD16b) of all subjects
Flow Cytometry: Recommended dilution - 5-10 ug/ml. Positive control - PBL (peripheral blood lymphocytes). Application note - The antibody MEM-154 does not react with CD16a present on NK cells in many subjects. Western Blotting: Application note - Non-redu

Tris buffered saline (TBS), 15 mM sodium azide, approx., pH 8.0.
Short term 4°C, long term aliquot and store at -20°C, avoid freeze thaw cycles.

About CD16

CD16 is a low affinity Fc receptor. It is a CD molecule found on the surface of natural killer cells, neutrophil polymorphonuclear leukocytes, monocytes and macrophages. It can be used to isolate populations of these cells by antibodies directed towards CD16, using fluorescent-activated cell sorting or magnetic-activated cell sorting. CD16 has been identified as Fc receptors Fc?RIIIa (CD16a) and Fc?RIIIb (CD16b).
